I have wanted one of these handy little GorillaPod camera tripods for my Canon PowerShot SX210 IS for ages!
The articulated “ball-and-socket” leg joints mean that the tripod can be adjusted to stand level on any surface, and can even be used to wrap around an object — maybe the branch of a nearby tree.
The tripod has a slimline quick-release clip that screws into your camera body. The tripod then clips onto this plate. I can even use it with my Garmin VIRB Elite (you need the tripod mount).
The only small design oversight is that the mount that screws into the body of the camera has to be removed on my Canon when I need to access the battery and memory card slot. It’s not the end of the world as this is not something I need to do often, and the clip can easily be removed by unscrewing it with a coin or any small flat object.

Be sure to keep your eyes open for the cardboard box, eco-friendly packaging: it’s much cheaper, plus you will be “doing the right thing”.
