Camping at Mount Ceder is a fairly luxurious affair with spacious private campsites complete with large grassed area, shade cover, and individual ablution / kitchen block along the banks of the river.
Getting there: from Ceres travel north on the R303 up the Gydo Pass, pass through Prince Alfred Hamlet and Op die Berg

Soutkrans, Kraalbos and Kriedoring are the names of the 3 private campsites spread along the banks of the river with plenty of space assuring you of privacy and peace. Each site has an ablution block which includes a small kitchen area under the cover of the roof. Gas heated water is supplied to the kitchen and shower.
The sites are grassed with shade cloth shelters overlooking the river.
Highlights of a stay at Mount Ceder include horse-riding, olive picking and rock art.
