King protea (Protea cynaroides), Greyton Nature ReserveKing protea, Protea cynaroides

I always stay at Zebra Moon when I am in Greyton. It’s a backpacker-style hostel at the top of the town which offers cheap, convenient, basic accommodation and self-catering facilities.

Getting there: West Street
GPS Coordinates: -34.04697, 19.60787
Website: www.zebramoon.co.za

This is the least “fancy” of the 3 backpackers that I have stayed at. Expect absolutely no frills and you will not be disappointed.

We recently stayed whilst overnighting on the two-day Boesmanskloof Trail. Whilst I could not see any changes or additions, the entire property seemed tidier and cleaner than on previous visits.
