I have bought a number of flasks over the years and have not had much luck in terms of longevity. I have had my eye on the Stanley range for some time as I am usually a “buy once” type of person. The price of the Stanley products is pretty hefty so I was absolutely thrilled when I received a 1-litre flask for my birthday.
It holds one litre of liquid in a double-wall stainless steel construction which claims “24 hours hot, 24 hours cold, 5 days iced”.
The weight and size put it firmly in the camping gear category — this is not something to plug up the mountain. The large handle makes carrying the flash super-easy and means that there is no danger of it slipping out of your hand when pouring from it.
The official Stanley website lists the following specifications:
- Weight: 1.2kg
- Dimensions: 4.5L x 5.5W x 14.6H in
- 18/8 stainless steel, BPA-free
- Double-wall vacuum insulation
- Leakproof + packable
- Insulated lid doubles as a cup
- Dishwasher safe
The claim is that it will keep contents hot for 45 hours, cold for 2 days and iced for 8 days.
