This is another great walk in the Silvermine area.

Getting there: park your car in the parking lot at the Silvermine Reservoir.

Start this route the same way as you would the Silvermine Circuit: walk up the boardwalk to the Reservoir, cross to the other side of the Reservoir by walking across the wall, and head up the hill on the jeep track on the other side.

You will reach a cairn on Noordhoek Peak. It is pretty exposed up here, so watch out if the wind is blowing! The views are spectacular.

The trail reaches the path in Prinskasteel Valley that leads to the Lookout Deck above Chapman’s Peak. To get there, take the path leading to the left. This wooden deck commands the most inspiring view of Hout Bay’s beach and harbour, and The Sentinal, and is the perfect spot to whip out a flask of something hot on a chilly winter day.

Return along the trail which leads back to the Silvermine Circuit jeep track, and down to the Reservoir.
