Part of the Knysna Big 5, the Knysna Lagoon Challenge event offers all watermen a chance to splash out on the Knysna Lagoon.

The Knysna Lagoon Challenge is part of the annual Pick ‘n’ Pay Knysna Oyster Festival and will take place at the Knysna Yacht Club on Sunday 30th June, 2013.
This is a flat water canoe race that consists of a lap race starting at the Knysna Yacht Club, to the Knysna Heads, Thesen Island, Waterfront Quays and back.
There are four race categories: the main race is a K1 race, but K2’s and surfskis are also welcome to enter:
- Knysna Lagoon Challenge: 22km
- Fun race: 10km
- Guppie race (for under 12s): 3km
- Stand-up Paddlers: 5km and 10km
