Sanddrif Crag is a little gem of a crag providing some truly classy sports routes. It is close to the Sanddrif campsite at Dwarsrivier.
Getting there: drive across the Matjiesrivier weir [-32.48802, 19.26756] at Sanddrif. Instead of turning right to the campsite, take a left [-32.48764, 19.26765]. You can park further up the hill at the concrete reservoir [-32.487251206224414, 19.262922096379313], but it’s probably a better idea to park in the shade of the oaks and walk up to the crag.

The crag features 4- and 5-star routes. As a novice climber, I found the routes challenging and had to retreat off one of them, forcing me to leave a quick draw behind. For this reason, I now always have a maillon clipped to my harness.
