Nature’s Valley is a tiny little seaside hamlet that has managed to effectively limit development (I think they have a very active ratepayers association). The end result is enviable, and some other Garden Route destinations would have done well to have done the same.
The Nature’s Valley Trust does some amazing work with the local community in preserving and conserving the area. See some of what they do on the Nature’s Valley Trust Facebook Page. The world famous Otter Trail starts here, and of course the Otter Trail Run alternately starts or finishes here each year.
