“Hurricane” flask

As Winter sets in and the famous wet Cape weather rolls across the Cape Peninsula, its time to gear up for the cold! I have taken to carrying a flask of something hot with me!

The “Hurricane” flask comes in 500ml and 1L sizes, in a range of colors. They are solid metal construction so will not smash easily like a conventional Thermos flask. The smaller flask weighs in at 350g and the larger at 550g – so this is not an option if you are packing light! The small flask holds two decent mugs of liquid. The cap is a bit small, so although I guess you could use it as a cup, I generally carry a plastic mug with me.

You can purchase them from your local Pick ‘n’ Pay for under R100.
