This appears to be primarily a MTB race with a trail run tacked on for good measure…

Getting there: Take the N2 from Cape Town. 60km from Somerset West, turn left onto the R406 (Greyton / Genadendal) 5km before Caledon. Follow the tar road for 30km until you reach Greyton Village. Follow the MTB signs through the village, and onto the R406 in the direction of Riviersonderend. 9km later, slow down for parking instructions at The Oaks farm.
The 21km course is described as: “Not technical, but great variety of single track through pine & oak plantations / animal / jeep tracks, around dams, through orchards. A few mild climbs, following the 21km cycle route at the foot of the Sonderend mountains. Not a rock scrambling experience, but certainly most enjoyable.”
