When Garmin announced the updates to Garmin Connect, the blog page also included an announcement that Garmin Express is to replace ANT+ Agent & the Garmin Communicator Plugin.
Additionally, Garmin Express will be replacing ANT Agent, Garmin Communicator Plugin, and will fulfil the role of transferring data to Garmin Connect as well as updating devices (Forerunner 305, 405 and 410 users, will have to wait a while longer).
I have already downloaded Garmin Express as I used it when I was checking out the Garmin Oregon 650 and the Garmin Forerunner 210.
I noticed some initial glitches, but the latest update (Version 3.2.16.0) seemed to solve these.
What has been negatively affected is your ability to upload to other sites such as Strava and endomondo. For now I am manually uploading FIT files to these sights.
