first Ascent Flash Flood Pant

In my quest for total waterproofness, I bought a pair of first Ascent Flash Flood Pants.

These long waterproof pants are lined and feature long boot zippers, a drawstring waist and two deep, zippered pockets. The zippers have great grab tabs with decent length cords which means you can grab them easily even when wearing thick gloves.

Whilst the length of the cut is generous, I found the sizes to be fairly small volume-wise, and so took an XXL. This means that not only are they easy to pull on due to the long boot zippers, but I can wear them over almost anything I may already be wearing.

Overall, the pants are extremely comfortable, and I have found them to be great for just wearing about when you are outdoors as you can sit anywhere without having to worry about getting dirty or damp! They also worked incredibly well in the snow whilst ascending Matroosberg Peak, proving to be comfortable, waterproof, and warm enough even in zero degree conditions (I was only wearing a pair of shorts underneath).
