The notoriously wet and cold Cape winter season has kicked in with a vengeance, and I am frantically piling on the warm gear for running training! I bought a pair of first Ascent Dawn Runner Gloves after my first late evening run in cold, drizzly autumn weather of the year.
They are light-weight, soft and comfy, and are generously cut to cover your wrists. They are ideal for trail running where not only will they keep your hands warm, but they will offer a layer of protection in the event of a tumble.
I have not used the key-pocket feature yet, and I am not sure I would want a key in the palm of my hand should I indeed fall! The first Ascent logos are reflective, but as with all reflective detail, it remains to see how long it will maintain it’s reflective quality.
