Complete Photographic Field Guide: Birds of Southern Africa

I am not a huge fan of sitting still as you can well imagine. I am however curious about most things I see whilst enjoying the outdoors. I was, however, battling to identify birds using my ancient copy of  Newman’s Birds of Southern Africa. The Complete Photographic Field Guide: Birds of Southern Africa contains over 2500 photographs of 958 bird species.

This means that not only is there a full-color photo of each bird, but additional photos showing age and sex plumage variations, as well as in-flight and perched birds.

The first bird I identified using the book was the little Chorister Robin-Chat that visited our Forest Hut at Nature’s Valley.
