[...]  I am not sure of the history of the race with regards weather such as experienced this year, but my only hope is that considering that the majority of the runner’s travelled so far to take part in the event, that in future it would make sense to have contingency routes that are as close as flood-proof as possible, bearing in mind that almost any route in the area would remain breathtakingly beautiful, even if it was routed on tar, through the town.
