 This route contains actual climbing, and some pretty serious exposure, following the skyline of the ridge up which the telephone lines can be seen. There are 3 sections with chains protecting some pretty serious little climbs — a fair bit more hectic than the tame little scrambles on Lion’s Head. [...]  This is a fairly short hike with great views of Hout Bay and Llandudno. There is a little bit of very easy scrambling at the very top; each of the scrambles taking you up only a meter or two at a time. [...]  This hike will take you from Constantia Nek to a cold beer at the Chapman’s Peak Hotel in Hout Bay. I recommend doing this one as a one way: leave a car at the East Fort at the foot of Chapman’s Peak — or even better: at The Chapman’s Peak Hotel or Dunes in Hout Bay. After the initial slog up Vlakkenberg, the going is pretty easy. This is part of the Hoerikwaggo Trail. [...]  Another beautiful walk right on my doorstep! I have never been keen on the Cecilia Forest area as it gets quite busy — and mainly with people walking their dogs who clearly do not own pooper-scoopers!
