I have two pairs of Tech Shorts from CAPESTORM. They are both now two years old, and I still use them constantly for all types of activities.
They are constructed from light-weight material that is durable and comfortable. These are solidly constructed shorts that I use with great success to hike and rock climb.
They feature a belt, and a range of large pockets on the front and back, including two which are zippered for stowing keys, etc.
The belt is a little “light-weight”, and the plastic buckles on both my pairs have snapped in two. I have repaired them by removing the broken buckles, and replacing them with K-Way backpack buckles that I purchased at Cape Union Mart (R30.00 for 2). This arrangement is far stronger than the original buckle.
When I am at Beaverlac they often end up doubling as swimming trunks. They are light enough in the water, don’t become heavy or chaff when they are wet, and dry incredibly quickly.
