Crossing the Goukamma on the pont

I normally hike in a technical type running shirt, but as I get sunburned relatively quickly I thought it wise to get this collared Men’s Congo Short Sleeve from CAPESTORM.

I recently won a CAPESTORM competition and the prize was R2000’s worth of CAPESTORM gear! This was one of the items I chose, along with Men’s Tech Longs, Ladies’ Disa Shirt and UV Arm Protectors.

The key features in my opinion are the collar for extra protection from the sun, the zippered chest pocket for stashing keys or other important items, and the fit across the chest and shoulders which allows for big movements like putting on a heavy backpack or scrambling up a ledge.

  • 97% polyester 3% lycra
  • quick drying
  • 137.9g (M)
  • back panel ventilation
  • zipped front pocket (great for a permit, map, key, ID card etc)
  • pleat at centre back yoke for added comfort in movement
