Mount Ceder

Camping at Mount Ceder is a fairly luxurious affair with spacious private campsites complete with large grassed area, shade cover, and individual ablution / kitchen block along the banks of the river.

Getting there: from Ceres travel north on the R303 up the Gydo Pass, pass through Prince Alfred Hamlet and Op die Berg

Soutkrans, Kraalbos and Kriedoring are the names of the 3 private campsites spread along the banks of the river with plenty of space assuring you of privacy and peace. Each site has an ablution block which includes a small kitchen area under cover of the roof. Gas heated water is supplied to the kitchen and shower.

The sites are grassed with shade cloth shelters overlooking river.

Highlights of a stay at Mount Ceder include horse-riding, olive picking and rock art.
