As my climbing partner is often significantly lighter than I am, and additionally often as inexperienced, the weight difference makes belaying me a fairly nerve-wracking experience for both parties involved: there’s nothing like taking a small fall and meeting your belayer going up as you come down. For this reason I have started a collection of trad gear to build belaying anchors, including this Black Diamond Daisy Chain.
I pair this daisy chain up with a Wild Country Rockcentric to construct belaying anchors when my climbing partner is significantly lighter than I am. The daisy chain makes it quick and easy to adjust the length of the anchor quickly and easily.
