I am always inspired by watching other people compete, witnessing them achieve great things. From the winners to the also-rans, from the professionals who put the Iron in IronMan, to the man with no legs, and the woman who used to be massively overweight: every one the hero of their own story. I think most people consider IronMan contestants to be ego-driven, show-offs, but all I see are amazing, humble people giving their all, risking public failure for personal achievement. Here are some of my favourites from YouTube — I will be adding more later — or how about submitting your favourite clip!

“You can quit if you want, and no one will care. But you will know for the rest of your life.”

OK so I actually get tears in my eyes when I watch this — it’s amazing and I cannot wait for my chance to take up the IronMan challenge!

Impossible is Nothing
“Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they’ve been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It’s an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It’s a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.”
